Chris has been a volunteer in the international development sector for 35 years – she is Chair of Women in Aid & Development, Director of Gateway Bank, Director of Self-Managed Superannuation Association and Convenor of the NFP Chairs Circle. She has been director and Chair of a number of NGO’s including RESULTS Australia a health advocacy agency, Habitat for Humanity Australia of NFP’s, government, mutual and corporate organisations including Chair of ACFID Code of Conduct Committee and was the recipient of the inaugural ACFID Award for Outstanding Service to the Aid and Development Sector. In 2020 Chris was awarded the Member of the Order of Australia, AM, for her significant service to the community through social welfare initiatives and was made a Life Member of Habitat for Humanity Australia in November 2021. Chris believes our society is stronger, better managed and better governed with women in leadership roles. To that end her aim as the founder and Chair of the Women In Aid & Development network is to encourage, inspire and support women to advance their careers, and in time, secure leadership, CEO and director roles.
