Daniel Henry

Dan Henry is passionate about applying technology to the most critical challenges facing society. As a Cybersecurity professional, a Director of Technology and an IT Project Manager and consultant with 30 years of experience, he's worked on projects involving development of geodatabase-enabled online applications, application of mobile technology and GIS in developing countries, monitoring and evaluation of humanitarian grant programs overseas, and supporting K-12 STEM and citizen for science environmental monitoring in local communities in the US. Over 20 of those years Dan worked at a management/team lead/supervisory level, including 18 years in the federal government with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). As an international development professional focusing on ICT for development projects with USAID, he has served on short-term assignments in more than 25 countries in Africa, Latin America, AME, SEA, Eastern Europe. Overall he has 28 years of hands-on experience leading networking, Internet technology, systems engineering, and software development projects. His project management expertise includes working with military-civilian/USAID-State inter-agency initiatives and with academia. He has extensive experience communicating technical information to peers and non-technical staff alike, senior agency leadership and foreign government partners.
