Civil & Structural Engineer | Infrastructure & Project Management | Disaster-Resilient Development Daniela is a civil and structural engineer with experience in managing large-scale, donor-funded infrastructure projects in complex and high-risk environments. She has led engineering teams, feasibility studies, and project execution, working with UN agencies (UNICEF, FAO, WFP) and major donors, including FCDO (UK), DFAT (Australia), World Bank, ADB, African Development Bank, Islamic Development Bank, the EU and others. Her work includes contract management, stakeholder engagement, and risk assessment, ensuring infrastructure projects meet technical and operational requirements. She has delivered projects in school infrastructure, modular bridges, roads, warehouses, humanitarian and logistic camps, cyclone shelters, emergency infrastructure, and climate-resilient design. She led the evaluation of school infrastructure after the 2010 Chile earthquake, supported the Fael Khair School Cum Cyclone Shelters in Bangladesh, and contributed to Safe School Construction guidelines in Myanmar. She has worked in Somalia, Vanuatu, Pakistan, and other complex operational settings, managing infrastructure resilience programs and coordinating with governments, NGOs, and private sector partners. As a team leader and strategic advisor, Daniela is now focused on project management and leadership roles in infrastructure development. She has experience leading multidisciplinary teams, overseeing contract compliance, and ensuring efficient project delivery in challenging environments. Her expertise in technical leadership, donor coordination, and program management positions her for senior roles in infrastructure development, humanitarian response, and sustainable engineering.
