Md. Aminur Rahman, an internationally recognized Development Researcher focused on Gender and Social Development, is a Senior Fellow of South Asian Studies Centre and a Senior Social Development Researcher of Research Department of TMSS Health and Humanitarian Protection Section, one of the largest women-focused NGOs in South Asia. Now he is working as Sociologist of Institute of Water Modelling (IWM), under Ministry of Water Resources, Bangladesh. Previously, he was Director for Pundra Institute of Research and Development (PIRD) and Associate Professor of Pundra University of Science and Technology (PUST), Bangladesh. Before joining University, he served as Development Researcher and Consultant for 32 International organizations including positions of Development Sociologist, Gender Specialist, Policy Analyst, Chief Researcher, Social Safeguard Specialist, Ethnographer and Gender and Development Expert. He has good reputation as Motivational Lecturer and invited by many forums for delivering lectures on various contemporary issues especially on Development, Gender and Empowerment, Gender-based Violence, Social Development and so on. He is much noted also as South Asian Expert on Regional Cooperation. Besides, he has credited 24 Journal Articles, 50 Monographs, 75 Research Reports and numbers of Case Studies of different issues. Meanwhile, he credited two Books that were published by Lambert Germany and one by Arial Montreal, Canada. Besides, Dr. Rahman is served as Reviewer of two Peer-reviewed Journals of abroad and Member of Panel Editor of one Journal. He has a PhD in Sociology (focused on gender and development) from Institute of Bangladesh Studies (IBS), under the University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh.
