Summary

Dr Clancy Read (PhD) is an international health and development professional dedicated to improving health and achieving equity in health for all people worldwide. She has more than 15 years applied international development experience in India, Philippines, Mexico, Fiji and Australia across specialised areas of participatory research for development, community health needs assessment and interventions, health systems-based interventions, as well as cross-cutting program evaluation design, implementation, analysis and reporting. Clancy has ensured her professional contribution is grounded in a solid theoretical understanding of global health issues, and has built her career upon a four-year PhD in International Health and a three-year Postdoctoral Fellowship in Aboriginal Health. In a consultant and advisor capacity, she has worked with communities facing adversity and inequality in situations of post-disaster, poverty and marginalisation through contracts with governments, bi-lateral donors, international NGOs, the World Health Organization and community organisations. Clancy is currently based in Suva, Fiji working as the Design, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Specialist for the Australian Government Fiji Program Support Facility, managed by Tetra Tech.
