Trevor Nott

Trevor has over 20 years experience in international development, working on a broad range of projects in Africa, Asia and the Pacific. This has involved working both in multidisciplinary teams and as an individual advisor in the capacity of assistant team leader, consultant and trainer. He is passionate about partnerships, co ordination and synergy, promoting capacity building and long term institutional solutions. Trevor's main areas of work have been in supporting the role of Government, and developing organisational and institutional capacity in order to improve the delivery of services to rural populations. He is committed to the role of government in leading the change process, based on participatory collaboration with all sector stakeholders. For the last 10 years Trevor has focused on the WaSH sector in Papua New Guinea. Initially supporting rural WaSH projects with design, budgeting and monitoring and then looking in more detail at broader sector service delivery models. Working with a broad range of stakeholders, through Government, Trevor facilitated the preparation of the country's first ever WaSH policy and then worked closely with Government departments, donor agencies, NGOs and faith based groups to support implementation. Recently Trevor was called upon to assist the WaSH Cluster following the earthquake in Papua New Guinea in February 2018, in order to improve co ordination with the Emergency Controllers office and develop a response strategy for effected areas. With a background in workshop facilitation, capacity building and training, Trevor is comfortable promoting dialogue, creating conversations, exploring opinions and ideas and arriving at appropriate solutions
