I am an experienced senior level manager with 30+ years global experience, and 20+ years in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) working in challenging and difficult environments, with excellent skills in managing local partnerships, client relationships and program management, functioning as a donor, evaluator, and implementer. I have demonstrated strong new business development skills (capture and proposal) with United States Government (USG), European, Canadian, Scandinavian, and Japanese donors. As an example, I led the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent societies (IFRC) successful bid for over 5+ million USD award in Colombia from US State Department (USDOS) Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM), and have managed portfolios of projects of up to 22 million USD + including US Agency for International Development (USAID) funds. I am fluent in Spanish and have an extensive network of contacts and experience working with civil society organizations, local governments, and private sector entities. I have a deep strategic, analytical and firsthand understanding of the development landscapes in the LAC region where I hope to continue to work and serve.
