I am an international development expert with over 20 years of experience and outstanding leadership and technical skills as Country Manager / Chief of Party / Technical Advisor / Program Manager. I excel in strategic team leadership, project, and operations management. I have strong technical expertise in development initiatives such as agriculture value chains, specialization in livestock (cattle, goats, sheep, poultry), agribusiness, market/economic development, food security and nutrition, emergency response, CSA/environment, resilient agriculture, and enterprise development. Multi-donor experience includes USAID, USDA, BHA, SIDA, BMGF, Irish Aid, IFPRI/ILRI, and EU. I have extensive practical experience in cross cutting themes including youth, women economic empowerment and HIV/AIDS. I have represented organizations at national and international level and engaged in complex negotiations, advising on strategic direction including policy, developing country plans and new business initiatives. I have a comprehensive background in organizational development and institutional capacity building of NGOs, CBOs and national institutions. I have successfully overseen technical aspects of program development, financial management (portfolios of +$35m), MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning), and reporting efforts. I have good understanding of donor regulations such as US government and the EC, and successful track record supporting new business. Worked and/or lived in Mozambique, Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya, Lesotho, Zambia, Eastern Caribbean (Barbados, St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Grenada, Commonwealth of Dominica).
