Summary

I hold a university degree from Yarmouk University of Jordan in Business Administration and Finance Sciences with around 20 years of overall experience in financial management, granting, Human Resources and administration based on international standards as well as in leading and supervising teams in International and Government Institutions.

I have worked with a number of reputable institutions starting with Jordan Refinery Company in 1992 then I moved on and started with the European Project MEDA Team Jordan in 1998, which is the technical assistance project to the European Union (EU) Delegation in Jordan. In July 2003, I joined the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation the Contracting Authority for the Support the Implementation of the EU-Jordan Association Agreement (SAAP) as a “Coordinator of Finance and Contracts”. I was assigned to set up and manage the “Programme Management Unit’s (PMU) Contracts and Finance section” of Euro 40 million Programme, which was the first decentralized EC Programme implemented in Jordan.

The beginning of 2007, I was recruited by the Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean for the Dialogue between Cultures Foundation (in Alexandria, Egypt) as a “Senior Specialist for Administration and Financing” (Head of Unit). The Foundation is registered by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs as an International Foundation having an Intergovernmental Board of Governors. It aims to bring people together to promote dialogue between cultures and respect of diversity. It launches regional initiatives in the Euro-Med space and supports civil society organizations working for mutual understanding between peoples and faiths, and defending human rights and democracy.

Being responsible for the Finance, Administrative, and contracting/procurement matters of the above institutions, I was responsible for the administrative and financial parts of the preparation of the overall Work Plans, the Annual Work Plans and the regular quarterly and annual progress reports to be submitted to the Programme’s Steering Committees and/or members of the Board of Governors, as well as coordinating both the International and Local annual audits on administrative actions and accounts documentation.

Furthermore, the Programmes endowed me with comprehensive experience in Human Resources management as well as administrative and financial management of International cooperation projects techniques, International and Government procurement and tendering procedures of services and Supplies.
