A Finance, Grants and Operations Director with a broad knowledge of a wide range of financial practices including budget handling and forecasting, working for more than 19 years with USAID and NGOs on managing accounting and financial aspects related to grants and in coordination with several donor agencies such as USAID, UNOPS, GIZ, HBS, HSBC Bank, EU, Japanese Embassy and Swiss Embassy. During this period I was able to well understand the reporting requirements and guidelines in terms of funding for NGOs and how to manage their financial reporting and expenditures. This also included preparation of proposal budgets that complies with regulations, payment requests including all supporting documentation and making sure they perfectly match proposed budget, working closely with technical teams to support program implementation and closing of grants per agreements signed with donors. In addition, and through other consultancy agreements, I was able to support small NGOs in preparing for grant applications, closing of different grants and training their staff to better manage their grants budget.
