Obtained Master of Arts in Development Studies; Bachelor of Science in Education & Advanced Diploma in Social Science with over 15 years’ experience: • 15 years’ experience in planning and project/programme management, project cycle management, development of concept notes and proposals; • 14+ experience in monitoring and evaluation and reporting, quantitative and qualitative researches, gender analysis, socio-economic studies and baseline studies, statistics and information management; • 14+ experience in community development, institutional development, and provision of multidisciplinary consulting services and technical expertise in the sectors and sub-sectors of WASH, Food Security, Livelihoods, local economic development, gender and empowerment of women, protection, social safeguarding, nutrition, agriculture, Education, Health, environmental and climate change, disaster reduction/ drought resilience/durable solutions for IDPs and refugees and agro-pastoral community development, conflict resolution and peacebuilding; • Responsible for senior management & coordination roles of various engineering, infrastructure, and soft projects • 12+ experience in managing and working with teams of international and national experts with diverse expertise and multi-cultural background; • 12+ experience in the management and coordination of engineering & geological teams, feasibility & technical studies, construction; • Strong experience in Environmental Impact Assessment, Strategic Environmental Assessment, Environmental and Social Impact Assessments (ESIA), Environment and Social Management Plan (ESMP) and Resettlement Action Plan (RAP); • Strong experience in social risk management, conflict analysis, social impact assessments and identifying potential risks, impacts & mitigation measures of humanitarian and development interventions; • Strong experience in COVID 19 responses • 14+ experience in working with the guidelines and procedures of Government Institutions, many UN agencies, International NGOs, DFID/ FCDO, USAID, EU, DANIDA, World Bank Group, AfDB, SIDA, ECHO, NORAD, JICA, SDC, Germany, Netherlands, Japan, and many international consulting firms. • 14+ experience in budgeting, financial resources management, human resources management, contract management, procurement and administrative works; • Experience and in charge for the management of budget, contracts and procurement of multi-donor projects • Experience in providing managerial support for the preparation of ToRs, BoQs, tender dossier documents & responsible for bid evaluation and awarding; • Experience with policy formulation, public sector reforms, strategic formulation and reviewing sector policies, guidelines, strategies, regulatory and institutional frameworks; • Excellent experience in capacity and delivering training including participatory seminars and workshops with excellent facilitation and presentation skills and conducting training needs assessment, design and delivery of tailor-made training; • Experience of in the development of curriculum and training materials and manuals, TVET textbooks and management of TVET courses; • Experience in community mobilization, multi-stakeholder engagement, awareness raising and building networks among the different parties; • More than 12 years of solid experience and expertise in M&E, result-based framework, result based management and M&E based on logical framework with application of OECD-DAC criteria and concepts of evaluation; Theory of Change, Participatory Project Cycle Management (PPME), Monitoring & Learning (MEL), and various tools and approaches; • Strong experience in conducting research with practical skills of qualitative and quantitative approaches, multi-cluster needs assessment baseline, midline & end-line surveys and reviews studies, FGD and KII; • Deep understanding and experience in the context in all regions and administrations in Somalia and Somaliland; • Experience with emergency preparedness and response, drought resilience, disaster risk management, climate change adaptation and the complex humanitarian context in Somalia and East Africa.
