Energy sector and utility Finance and Business Management specialist engaged as Chief Financial Officer/Finance Director and Consultant on various major investment, turnaround & performance improvement projects in electricity utilities. · As utility Head of Finance, excellent record in engaging with wider energy sector stakeholders, including Government, sector regulatory bodies, financial institutions and local and business communities, to define mutual objectives, evaluate scenarios to identify and recommend strategies and deliver sustainable sector and utility performance improvement. · Comprehensive understanding of operational, commercial and financial factors affecting energy sector and utility. · Expert in utility operating and business planning, incorporating the practical implications of sector and consumer objectives and constraints. · Irish Chartered Accountant with c. 40 years’ cross-cultural experience in Ireland, Guyana, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Uganda, Malawi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Liberia, Rwanda and Saint Lucia. · Project funding sources KfW, World Bank, MCC, CDC, Actis & through arms-length commercial investments. · Strong ‘can-do’ attitude and logical problem-solving approach, driving strategic thinking at Board/senior management level and in operational roles.
