I am a confirmed humanitarian worker with 18 years of experience in managing food security, livelihoods, resilience, and nutrition programs in Africa, funded by various donors: the European Union (DEVCO and ECHO), USAID Agencies (FFP, OFDA, BPRM), French Development Agency (AFD), SIDA, United Nations agencies (UNHCR, WFP), SV, etc. My experience covers all components of food security and livelihoods: farmers advice through peasant school fields, setting up agricultural financial services, strengthening producers’ organizations, inputs and food supply (inputs shops, cereal banks), recovery of degraded land, cash transfer programming for food assistance and NFI, value chains analysis and strengthening using multi-stakeholders’ approaches, market assessment, Lean to Earn, VSLA, etc. My experience extends to nutrition: blanket feeding programs (malnutrition screening, referencing, nutritional supplementation), support for medico-nutritional management structures for acute severe malnutrition medical care, nutritional education, notably through the IYCF approach (Infant and Young Child Feeding), support for community networks for malnutrition screening (Mother to Mother, community relays), etc. Finally, I have experience in implementing resilience programs through a participatory approach based on the analysis of community capacities and the valorization of their potentialities.
