Kamleshan Pillay is a climate finance and carbon markets specialist with the Center for International Climate and Environmental Research (CICERO) based in Oslo, Norway. Kamleshan’s previous work experience include his lecturing of Environmental Management and Environmental Systems at the University of KwaZulu-Natal and environmental and climate change consulting at Environmental Resources Management (ERM), Aeon Nexus and PAS Environmental. Kamleshan holds an MPhil in Environmental Policy from the University of Cambridge (Climate Policy) and an MSc. in Environmental Science (specialisation: biofuel technology) from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Currently, he is completing his PhD in Environmental Science specializing in regional ETS schemes within the Southern African region.
