For your information, I have an academic background in social communications, giving me a good understanding of community mobilization techniques and social change. I had during more than 13 years worked extensively in developing local communities as researcher, practitioner and as project adviser. I’m working in various languages (English, French, Swahili and Portuguese). My main interest has been sustainable use and the rights and roles of local people to participate in and benefit from local opportunities. However, my skills in designing and managing projects with strong community component and using participatory approaches and methodologies - supported by the positions held, personal training and research - covering different areas of governance, conservation, local development and food security gave me a profile of rural development technician. Thus, this cross-cultural background supported by expertise in organizational development, social marketing and local development.
