Fearlessness is not always about seeking new landscapes. Sometimes, it's about seeing with new eyes. I bring this insatiable intellectual curiosity to private and public sector development, drawing on 20 years experience shaping global initiatives that balance economic growth with long-term sustainability. Not one to shy away from challenges, I lean into complex situations collecting ideas and engaging people at all levels to unravel problems and find the root cause. Then, I present solutions to stakeholders and policy makers on how to overcome the roadblocks associated with difficult or fragile environments, emerging economies, expansive value chains, and dynamic policy and regulatory contexts. A big believer in the power of collaboration, I thrive when contributing to a team that shares my drive to tackle intricate issues like climate and poverty. It helps that I'm a natural communicator and deep thinker—I can see where comms and marketing falls short and I leverage my stamina and strategic mindset to create plans for meaningful change. But what truly fuels me is my inquisitive nature and desire to learn, to research, to dig deeper. I'm a student at heart! From my Bach Ag Commerce to my MSc in Sustainable Tourism Mgt, subsequent Post Grad in Sustainable Value Chains from Cambridge and being a GAICD - each pursuit has been a stepping stone in understanding the interplay of global dynamics, risk, and sustainable practices. Whether it’s a thesis, policy paper or detailed report, I love to write and have published a best-seller detailing events that transformed me into a person who lives with purpose. These experiences pushed me to switch careers—from brand manager and GM at well-known companies while only in my 20s to starting my own catering company and supporting an international entrepreneur in establishing multiple tourism-related businesses. Today, my focus is firmly on the engine of the economy: the private sector. Although my projects span diverse industries like tourism and agriculture, I always champion diversity, women’s empowerment, and local business growth. I have designed, developed, and implemented programs across APAC for donor and development agencies including USAID, DFAT, DFID, The World Bank, International Finance Corporation and organisations like Palladium and PwC. As I look to the future, I'm excited to bring my blend of experiences and perspectives to an organisation that values problem-solving, collaboration, and social impact.
