Dr Nnambalirwa is a global health leader, with 14+ years’ experience in HIV/TB service delivery and health systems strengthening, serving thousands of patients and providing technical assistance (TA) for prevention, diagnosis, treatment and retention program implementation. As a member of various national TB/HIV/COVID-19 technical working groups, she provided TA in the development of strategies, plans, guidelines, curricula and tools. She has decentralized and integrated HIV/TB/NCD/SRH services, led PrEP scale-up, facilitated nationwide scale-up of TB mortality reviews, leveraged digital health solutions for health systems strengthening and overseen successful transition of activities from donor to government staff. Her experience spans public and non-profit sectors (MSF, PEPFAR/USAID and Global Fund). She coordinated the EGPAF international TB Community of Practice and is among the experts that reviewed submissions for the 2025 Union World Conference on Lung Health. She is committed to advancing efficient, resilient and self-reliant health systems, to mitigate public health threats.
