Summary

With over 18 years of expertise in Safeguarding, Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Prevention, and Program Management, I have a distinguished record of designing and implementing robust Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) Response and Prevention frameworks. My leadership in multi-sectoral Safeguarding initiatives has driven the development of policies that align with international standards, fostering compliance across diverse teams and stakeholders. By collaborating with government agencies, community-based organizations, and international funders such as USAID, DFID, EU, UNHCR, UNICEF, OCHA, AfDB, GIZ/ BMZ, and other UN agencies, I have aligned program objectives to enhance community safety and promote sustainable outcomes. I specialize in capacity building, having trained over 1,500 staff, volunteers, and partners in Protection from Sexual Harassment, Exploitation, and Abuse (PSHEA), Child Safeguarding, and Accountability protocols. My hands-on approach to Risk Assessment and Mitigation has established effective protocols for high-risk community outreach, protecting vulnerable populations and minimizing safety risks. Additionally, I have designed Community-Based Feedback and Complaint systems that prioritize transparency and accessibility, ensuring beneficiaries can safely voice concerns and access support through secure, Survivor-Centered Reporting channels. My commitment to Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) shapes my work, as I integrate gender-sensitive practices to empower women and address the needs of marginalized groups. Through rigorous monitoring and evaluation, I leverage data-driven insights to refine SGBV and safeguarding interventions, ensuring continuous improvement and measurable impact. My expertise in policy development has led to the creation of safeguarding and gender equality frameworks that embed best practices within organizational cultures, driving systemic change and fostering equitable, safe environments.
