Summary

Dr. Chouraya has over fifteen years of experience in MNCH, HIV testing, VMMC, PMTCT, HIV care and treatment, TB/HIV programs and policy development. In his current role as EGPAF Country Director/Eswatini HIV Prevention and Clinical Services (EHPCS) Project Chief of Party, he oversees all programmatic and operational activities under EGPAF and provides strategic guidance to the entire EGPAF team in Eswatini. He also has experience with both CDC and USAID funding and also the rules and regulations. He also has experience with other donors like UNITAID, ELMA Philanthropies, Global Fund, Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade (DFATD formerly CIDA), Abbott, ViiV, Gilead, American Cancer Society, Johnson and Johnson. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Zimbabwe; a postgraduate diploma in HIV Management from the College of Medicine in South Africa; and a Master of Science degree in Epidemiology from the University of Pretoria.
