Summary

I am a program specialist with more the 20 years of work experience focusing on Gender and Reproductive Health. Over the years I have been working for reproductive rights, adolescent and child health, gender based violence, education,disaster risk reduction with a human rights based approach to programming for poverty allevaition. I am competent at strategic planning, programme implementation, budget preparation and monitoring and Project monitoring and evalutation.

I have been successful in working across this diverse arena through representation at thematic/sector specific platforms/forums and also chairing/facilitating face to face meetings. Often, I have been able to bring together various stakeholders which have facilitated strengthening the work in policy research, advocacy, programme management, and creating linkages between different sets of stakeholders. I completed my Masters in Public Health in Maternal and Child Health.

I am able to prioritize my work in order to deliver tangible and timely results even under stressful conditions. I endeavor to leverage comparative advantages and support capacity building of multiple institutions and organizations. As a natural networker I am socially engaged, adaptable and culturally sensitive. On a personal level, I bring creativity, enthusiasm and thoughtfulness to any place and remain constructive when encountering challenges.
