Qualifications: Masters in Public Health (MPH), Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB); Bachelor of Science in Human Biology (BScHB), Certified Coach.
• Monitoring and Evaluation and Public Health Specialist, with medicine as a career backbone. Strong private and public sector experience working in Southern and Eastern Africa in particular in the areas of HIV & AIDS; water, sanitation and hygiene; nutrition; reproductive maternal, newborn and child health; health systems strengthening; and health education and training. Contributed to the design and implementation of large scale baseline studies as well as mid-term and end-line evaluations of health programmes funded by USAID, EC, COMESA, PATH, IHME, FUTURES Group, Gavi, ABT Associates and BROADREACH, amongst others. Knowledge and skills in mixed-method (qualitative and quantitative) research design, data analysis, report writing, knowledge management and reporting for impact.
Strong programme management skills and expertise relating to strategic planning, staff supervision, budgeting and financial management, and programme planning and coordination. Contributed to the design of and managed several large national and regional programmes on HIV & AIDS, OVC, water and sanitation, disaster management, and health education and training, to name a few.. These have been funded by agencies such as USAID, EU, UN Agencies, IFRC and others.
