I am an impact-driven international cooperation and sustainability professional with 25 years of experience in the public and non-profit sectors, in consultancy, research, teaching and training, of which 15 years in (senior) management positions, and with extensive networks in the GCC, MENA and globally. I am passionate about development effectiveness and innovative SDG finance and believe in multi-stakeholder partnerships for the goals, including the private sector, and the need for a more catalytic use of grant-funding based on the principles of blended finance and results-based funding. Economic inclusion, creating (green) jobs for young people, private sector engagement and development, water stewardship, climate change and food security are particularly dear to my heart. Methodological skills comprise policy dialogue, strategy development, Managing for Sustainable Development Results, Project Cycle Management, organizational appraisals, SDG alignment, multi-stakeholder engagement and capacity development. I have a pronounced entrepreneurial spirit and ability to identify and realize new opportunities, a proven track record in building and managing relationships, and strong leadership, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
