• Over 20+ years of experience in sustainable use and management of ocean resources for economic growth and environmental protection- Extensive consulting experience in Asia, Africa, and Europe. Experience includes projects funded by the European Commission, World Bank, USAID, FCDO, ADB, AFD as well as specifically working as a private sector technical advisor to the World Bank Project in Tanzania. Served as a Team Leader on an EC-funded project in Seychelles. Expertise spans across the fisheries, aquaculture and blue economy sector as a whole, including artisanal/small-scale/commercial fisheries, sustainable management, climate change and private sector business development. Contributed to the development of fish product value chains, blue food systems, market development, and quality infrastructure, as well as designing stakeholder-led value chain markets/exports mobile applications for the aquaculture sector in East Africa and Cambodia. Strong skill set in the facilitation of workshops and technical and vocational training for government officials and other stakeholders in a blue economy context, supporting trade policy and modern supply chain transformation to enhance micro and SMEs in African countries, ultimately increasing their competitiveness in export markets. Additionally, has been instrumental in the design and implementation of financial products directed towards the blue/green transition for numerous donor projects. Demonstrated expertise in drafting proposals which target employment opportunities for such Mombasa county youth-led employment development program.
