Phil Kamutenga

Phillip Kamutenga is an experienced logistician, global health expert, leader and executive coach who has proven himself at the highest level for more than 14 years. His ability to build high quality and productive relationships at all levels and among stakeholders like ministries of health, USAID, GFATM, and UNICEF has allowed him to consistently achieve results with demanding timelines. A combination of contemporary supply chain technical skills, diverse experience, good judgment under pressure, ability to prioritize, and proven credibility has al-lowed Phillip to achieve sustained performance excellence in every project he has worked in. He has demonstrable hands on experience and expertise in managing large, diverse teams on complex projects, including project start-up and closeout. Phillip has excellent insight into casting a vision, executing, managing performance and key finance and operations aspects of project management. Through his expansive leadership and coaching knowledge and his disci-plined application of same in his day-to-day work, he has built high performance teams that consistently deliver positive, meaningful and verifiable results. Between his stints at John Snow, Inc., Chemonics International, Inc. and Management Sciences for Health, he has worked continuously on USAID projects for more than 10 years. This is in addition to his stint at Crown Agents where he worked on a joint USAID (John Snow, Inc. implemented) and DFID (Crown Agents implemented) project called Delivery Team Topping Up (DTTU), a vendor-managed inventory project. He has worked in Zimbabwe, Malawi and Uganda. He sat on the board of SOS Children’s Villages Zimbabwe for close to four years and assumed the position of treasurer during his tenure.
