Rudo is a senior diplomat and development expert who has held senior management and leadership positions in government, intergovernmental and civil society organisations at national, regional, and international levels. She has over 30 years experience in programme development, capacity building of social and economic development programmes in developing countries of Africa, Asia, the Pacific and the Caribbean She is an excellent facilitator, communicator and negotiator at all levels in government, multilateral organisations and civil society organisations and within different cultures. She has proven problem solving and consensus building abilities. Rudo has a strong commitment to gender equality and empowerment and inclusion . Rudo has a proven track record of leading policy and programme development resulting in positive outcomes. She is a former Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Women's Affairs Community Small and Medium Enterprises Development in Zimbabwe and former Zimbabwe's Ambassador to France, Portugal and Spain and the Vatican.
