An extension Veterinary Doctor, I also hold a MPH degree (One Health Program) and a Certificate in Agric. Development & Economics. As a private extension officer, my career has mostly focused on promoting livestock production and health for rural job/income, livelihoods, social equity, food security and poverty alleviation. As a Public Health expert (One Health approach), my activities also cover communication and social mobilization for the prevention and control of the emerging or re-emerging animal health-related public health diseases. I have a long experience working internationally in various ecosystems such as semi-arid and dryland areas in Africa and the Caribbean region to promote a sustainable integration of livestock-crops production/development and natural resources management. I have worked under emergency conditions in Burundi for the World Bank, in Djibouti, Ethiopia, South Sudan and the Caribbean regionfor FAO, and once again in South Sudan for Winrock International (Bridge Sudan) to implement various projects, including the strengthening of the capacity of the major actors of the livestock value chain, starting from community-based animal health workers, moving through butchers and livestock traders and inding with local farmers (livestock and fodder producers). A Similar work with FAO in Djibouti has contributed to the organization's Disaster Risk Reduction program. A specific aspect of my work in Burundi had to do with the management of the peste des petits ruminants (PPR) outbreak in the country in2018. Among many other activities, I also got to assess the risks of other transboundary animal diseases and zoonoses and developed specific training packages focusing on animal health/biosecurity and production. Because I can perform any other form of office works, including projects development, writing country's briefs, reviewing technical documents and providing analytical feedbacks to supervisors, I believe, on top of my field experience and my academic background, my work knowledge of English, French and Russian languages would make me a successful ressource for any international development organization.
