Sekou CAMARA : More than 15years of experience in Global Governance, Rule of Law, programme management and policy analysis in Security and Defense area. Has skills to integrate accountability, transparency, civilian oversight mechanisms, as well as human rights, gender reponsiveness in legal and strategic documents. Able to work in Development, Peace keeping Operations & emergency context. Has experience in (i) Diplomacy (from 2005 to 2009, worked as legal officer at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Guinea); (ii) Humanitarian (from 2010 to 2011, worked as Field Officer Communication with the ICRC Delegation in Guinea); (iii) Teaching and Research ( from 2008 to 2012 teaching Public International Law), (iv) Mining (Briefly worked in 2011 as Health-Security-Environment and Community Officer with Eglobal Drilling Corp in Nimba Mount Project), (v) Development (From 0ctober 2012 to January 2016 worked with UNDP-Guinea as Expert Lawyer, Security Sector Reform, focused on strengthening democratic governance in security Sector) and (vi) Peace keeping Operations in conflict and post-conflict contexts (worked from February 2016 to September 2017 with the UNMIL as SSR Programme Officer; and from October 2017 to December 2020 worked with MINUSCA as SSR Officer). From December 2020 to now working with MINUSCA as Political Affairs Officer supporting the political process and national institutions in CAR. Attended many prestigious institutions: Graduate Institute of Geneva, International Institute of Humanitarian Law of Sanremo, Unity Nations Office of Geneva, Institute of Diplomacy and Foreign Relations of Malaysia, ASDI-SWEDAC of Sweden, United Nations Staff College, ... Fluent in French & English with strong skills in legal analysis and studies.
