Shibaji Roy

Shibaji Roy is an international consultant on monitoring and results measurement, specializing in development projects working in Market Systems Approach, Private Sector Development, Access to Finance/ Financial inclusion, Agriculture, Renewable Energy, Climate Change, SME Development, Women Economic Empowerment, TVET/ Skills development, and Employment, RMG, Public Health, WASH, Migration, Trafficking, Humanitarian Aid, Disability Inclusion, and Governance. Shibaji has supported major economic development projects working for private sector development and poverty alleviation in different countries, including Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Indonesia, Ethiopia, Uganda, Nigeria, Ghana, Tanzania, Fiji, the Solomon Islands, Samoa, Vanuatu, Tonga, Vietnam, Thailand, and Yemen funded by all the major donor agencies. Shibaji has worked for most of the prominent implementing agencies, including DAI, Palladium, Swisscontact, ITAD, Care, Nathan, MSI, ASI, Landell Mills, Niras, WorldFish, Coffey, iDE, BSR, ACF, ACDI/VOCA, Microfinanza, Chemonics, GIZ, Tetra Tech, intec-GOPA, MSA, HI, Integrative Solutions, Q2 Impact, BRAC, Opportunities Unlimited, Tandem, Athena Infonomics, DT Global, CIMMYT, WaterAid, Mercy Corps among others. He is supporting market development projects around the globe to align them with the DCED standard, follow the best practices for monitoring and results measurement, and prepare for the audit. He has performed a variety of evaluations, including Mid-term assessments and final evaluations of different private-sector development projects. Shibaji's work with Microfinanza for UNCDF won the Excellence Award from UNDP's Independent Evaluation Office for Outstanding Evaluation. Shibaji also supports agencies in following USAID MEL practices for their Market Systems Approach (MSA) projects. He is a featured consultant at the DCED Consultants' Marketplace. Shibaji is currently the director of project management and M&E of a leading consultancy firm in Bangladesh, Consiglieri Private Limited. Shibaji conducted the DCED mock/ pre-audit for the PIND project in Nigeria, aBi in Uganda, PEPE and SHARPE project in Ethiopia, NAMDP project in Nepal, GEMS4 project in Nigeria, RDF in Ghana, and SET project in Tanzania. He has also conducted two main DCED audits.
