Subomi Chuku

I am an international development professional with fifteen years of progressive experience in social development and human rights, especially for vulnerable groups, including women and girls. I have built expertise in gender, inclusion, and protection, and skills in social and economic rights such as health, nutrition, social protection, livelihoods, and education. I currently support Nigeria's multisectoral convergence in nutrition with a focus on food security, economic empowerment, social protection, and WASH interventions. I have also honed business development skills, including proposal development, partnership negotiations, and stakeholder management. I am skilled at building empowering partnerships through normative capacity building and have strengthened project teams through training and technical assistance. I thrive in innovative and challenging roles and have successfully led work supported by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, MacArthur Foundation, United Nations and European Union, the United States Government, and the World Bank. I have a masters in Human Rights Law and a post-graduate diploma in Law and Development. I also have certifications in Gender, Project Management, and Monitoring and Evaluation. I am fluent in English and Yoruba and have a working knowledge of French. I am a member of the Board of Trustees of Project Grey, a Nigerian charity that provides care and support to older persons.
