Tapley C. Jordanwood BSc MSc is a health systems and development specialist with over 21 years of international experience. Prior to working at ThinkWell, he served as the Chief of Party of the USAID Social Health Protection Project. Over the past nine years he has been a senior manager in three consecutive USAID funded health systems strengthening projects in Cambodia where he led the technical development of the Health Equity Fund (HEF) system from a small pilot to a national Social Health Insurance system which provides free public health care to the approximately 20% of Cambodians identified as poor. Within this work, he spearheaded the design and implementation of web-based patient-level medical record systems, Conditional Cash Transfers, Pay-For-Performance contracting, and Community Based Health Insurance. He began his career overseas as Peace Corps Volunteer in Kenya working in agro-forestry followed by an agriculture extension project with returnee farmers resettling in Somalia and as field coordinator for a refugee program in Northern Uganda.
