Mr. Bergstrom is an international economic development consultant and has managed 10 large programs for donors including USAID, World Bank, and FCDO (formerly DFID). He recently managed the USAID funded Agriculture Marketing Program in Afghanistan which was a horticulture production, value addition, and export program. Previous to this he led the World Bank funded Somali Business Catalytic Fund, which was a grant program with the objective of increasing Somalia’s domestic production in several sectors. He has 26 years of professional experience; mostly in Africa. He is experienced in managing international trade programs, providing capacity building and market linkages to SMMEs and farmers. Tim is Currently working on an Investment and trade proposal for the EU in Somalia and also started a short-term MSD assignment in Sri Lanka focused on the dairy sector.
