Project HOPE is a leading global health and humanitarian organization with over 65 years of experience
transforming the health and well-being of communities around the world. With over 1,000 employees in more than 25 countries across five continents, Project HOPE works with local health workers and health systems to provide urgent relief and transformative solutions that drive lasting impact. At its core is a shared humanity and compassion that stretches across the organization’s work. Project HOPE places power in the hands of local health care workers to save lives across the globe. The organization envisions a world where everyone
everywhere can access quality health care.

Project HOPE is dedicated to working hand-in-hand with health workers on the front lines of the global
health crisis. Its commitment is two-fold: providing urgent relief when disasters and humanitarian emergencies turn into health crises and investing in lasting solutions that improve access to care and save lives. Project HOPE
trains health workers, strengthens health systems, and designs innovative global health programs in communities facing the devasting consequences of disaster, conflict, the climate emergency, and systemic inequalities. Project
HOPE believes everyone deserves access to the health care they need. Project HOPE goes where they are needed most and works quickly to address the most urgent challenges. Project HOPE believes that everyone deserves hope, that health is a fundamental human right, and that together access to care around the world can be strengthened.

Project HOPE’s Chief Development and Communications Officer should possess excellent judgment, analytical and decision-making skills as well as integrity and an unwavering commitment to the highest degree of personal and professional ethical standards. This role demands outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to interact and engage with a broad and diverse audience, including a consultative, advisory leadership style and anability to constructively challenge assumptions. The Chief Development and Communications Officer will have a natural inclination to keep key constituents informed while maintaining confidentiality as appropriate. These highly refined interpersonal skills will be combined with creative problem-solving skills and an ability to handle pressure, tension, ambiguity, changing priorities, and multiple viewpoints in a manner consistent with Project HOPE’s core values.

A bachelor’s or advanced degree and at least twelve years of experience leading high-performing development and communications teams within a nonprofit organization is preferred for this position. Project HOPE will consider candidates with a broad range of backgrounds. If you are excited about this role and feel that you can contribute to Project HOPE, but your experience does not exactly align with every qualification listed above, we encourage you to apply. All applications must be accompanied by a cover letter and résumé. Cover letters should be responsive to the mission of Project HOPE and the responsibilities and competencies presented in the position prospectus.

The salary range for this position is $300,000 to $325,000 annually.

Project HOPE is committed to the inclusion of all qualified candidates. If you require reasonable accommodation
