Current Opportunity
We are seeking a talented individual to join the Portfolio Management & Communications and Knowledge Sharing Unit at GGGI’s Asia Regional Office. The successful candidate will support internal and external activities and initiatives to strengthen GGGI’s impact across the region.

The Portfolio Management & Communications and Knowledge Sharing Unit is part of the Asia Regional Office under the Directorate for Green Growth Implementation (DGGI). The Asia Regional Office coordinates with country offices and partner organizations to deliver regional projects and impactful outcomes. The Unit plays a key role in raising the profile of the Asia Regional Office by developing and disseminating communication and knowledge materials that support country-led and regional initiatives and events.

Assignment
The assignment will include, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing and publishing content on GGGI Asia’s social media platforms (LinkedIn) and maintain consistent audience engagement.
  • Support the impact stories initiative by coordinating with country and project teams.
  • Provide support in preparing GGGI Asia’s internal monthly newsletter, including gathering content from country offices, layout design, and distribution.
  • Support communications for GGGI Asia events, conferences, and workshops, including branding, conference materials, and distribution through appropriate channels.
  • Assist in preparing communications materials such as brochures, reports, and publications.
  • Collect, edit, and archive photos and videos.
  • Conduct media research relevant to GGGI Asia, including trends in media consumption and social/behavior change communication.
  • Provide general administrative support for the Unit.

Eligibility
Applicants to the GGGI internship program must meet the following requirements at the time of application:

  • Academic background or professional experience in communications, media, marketing, or graphic design.
  • Knowledge and experience using digital platforms for social change (Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Instagram).
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles, including audience segmentation.
  • Experience with design software (Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, InDesign, Illustrator).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications, particularly SharePoint, is desirable.
  • Commitment to the values of GGGI.
  • Enrollment in a Bachelor’s (final year), Master’s, or PhD program prior to the internship, or recent graduation within the last 12 months.
  • Engagement in academic study directly related to GGGI’s work.
  • Excellent command of English; proficiency in Korean is a strong advantage.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, media, behavior change communication, or other relevant disciplines.
  • Two years of work experience in relevant areas, including internships, volunteering, or unpaid assignments, either locally or internationally.
  • Demonstrated commitment and passion for climate change and green growth through academic studies, professional work, or personal initiatives.
  • Excellent written and spoken English. Ability to speak a second language relevant to GGGI member countries is a plus.
