Duties and Responsibilities

  • Desktop Publishing and Design:
    • Assist in formatting and designing OSAA knowledge products (e.g., factsheets, policy briefs, and papers).
    • Support the creation of digital assets such as flyers, visuals, and graphics.
    • Provide technical assistance in preparing visual assets for OSAA publications.
  • Website Content Support:
    • Assist in preparing and organizing multimedia content for OSAA’s website.
    • Support improvements to the layout and presentation of existing content.
  • Data Visualization and Technical Support:
    • Assist in creating simple data visualizations for reports and presentations.
    • Provide technical input for improving the visual quality of OSAA materials.

Qualifications/Special Skills

  • Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:
    • Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher).
    • Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and InDesign.
  • Knowledge of Canva.

Languages

  • English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
  • Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage.
  • Official UN languages: Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, and Spanish.
