Job Description

The Climate, Resilience and Sustainability (CRS) team at Oxford Policy Management is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager on a 6-month fixed term basis, with possibility to extend for up to 5 years.

The position will be located in our Jakarta, Indonesia office.

The CRS team’s work aims to safeguard ecosystems, ensure resource availability, curb environmental degradation, mitigate climate change and protect against disasters, helping to foster a resilient planet for current and future generations. 

The E&S Senior Project Manager will be part of the senior leadership and management of a project team in Indonesia, delivering a programme of work that supports of the country’s ambitious energy transition plans over the next five years.  

The position of Senior Project Manager leads all aspects of the programme’s financial and operational management, ensuring that it is delivered to an excellent standard whilst meeting OPM’s professional standards/frameworks, client requirements, relevant industry regulations and ensuring effective governance. 

As a senior project manager you will:

  • Set-up, update, manage, monitor and report against the project workplan and budget, aligning with OPM’s internal project management and financial systems as required.
  • Lead on the preparation of financial and non-financial reports for clients, and key stakeholders as required, working closely with OPM’s Indonesia Country Director.
  • Prepare and enforce project-specific rules and guidance for the entire project team, related to logistics, invoicing, reporting, and document sharing protocols which align with OPM Indonesia requirements.
  • Coordinate and liaise with all key and non-key experts on the project, including preparation of contracts, on-boarding them and organising/managing team coordination calls.
  • Overseeing the work of a Project Administrator in managing the logistics and administration of the project, including processing invoices, booking travel, organising events.
  • Setting up and managing an internal Sharepoint document sharing system for the project team. 
Key Qualifications / Experience / Skills / Behaviours
  • At least 10 years of experience in programme management of development funded projects of a similar size and scale in Indonesia.
  • At least 5 years of experience working in a consulting firm, ideally working across different geographies and national offices.
  • Advanced IT skills and proficiency in setting up and using online financial and other databases, experience using Microsoft dynamics is an advantage.
  • Advanced English language skills and ability to prepare high-quality reports in English.
