The Role
The Financial Systems Analyst will be responsible for supporting DT Global FP&A teams to develop new templates and tools for more efficient and effective processes, planning and analysis. The position will require combination of Finance and IT mindsets and ability to quickly evaluate the problem and use multiple advanced technical tools to develop/ improve models and templates.
The role will require strong customer centric approach to be able to listen to process participants and stakeholders and develop solutions that will fit everyone’s needs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- On project by project basis work with the FP&A team of one of DT Global geographies or global team to review, develop, improve models, tools and templates for increased efficiency, accuracy and internal control.
- Participate in process improvement processes to advise on advanced tools to establish smooth and effective processes.
- Provide training and support to finance and accounting team members on better use of technology as needed.
- Manage business systems, databases, and related web technologies ensuring 24/7 availability and performance optimization.
- Own and drive the technical aspects of the customer journey by providing demonstrations, managing proof of concepts, and sharing best practices.
- Define, document, and manage the implementation of systems. Gather requirements, design systems, and generate user documentation.
- Analyze, develop, and deliver into production collections of related business applications from start to finish that could include custom-built, low-code platform-based, and commercial-off-the-shelf software components.
- Create and maintain documentation for web platform configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, and/ or IT required. MBA or Master’s degree in related field strongly preferred.
- Experience improving financial and business processes using Microsoft Power Tools (Power Automate, Power Query etc.) and Power Bi
- Familiarity with accounting foundations and best practices for US GAAP and IFRS accounting principles.
- Excellent customer service approach with all users of the tools and innovations; ability to get into the users‘ skin and improve the product
- Excellent people skills, roll up the sleeve’s mentality, and ability to work with remote teams, including building deep, long-distance work relationships with teams located across multiple time zones
- Strong cross-cultural communication skills with the ability to collaborate with a wide variety of stakeholders across the globe
- Track record of independently delivering business outcomes with limited supervision.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, Power Query, Power Bi and Power Automate are required
- Experience using several ERP systems is required, Deltek CostPoint experience a plus.
- Ability to manage ambiguity and is comfortable operating independently.
- Experience in budgeting and forecast.
- Expertise in Microsoft Visual Studio, C#/.NET, ASP.NET programming and version control.
- Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server and SQL query development.
- Expertise in coding best practices, patterns, and adjacent documentation.
- Preferred: Microsoft certifications in Power Bi, Power Automate, Excel Power Query and other similar tools. Deltek Cost Point (Business Intelligence). Understanding of NICRA rates (Negotiated Indirect Cost Rate Agreement)
