Support in developing creative and effective communication materials that enhance the visibility and reach of UN-Habitat’s projects and programme.
Support in developing signboards, reports, publications, promotional items, posters, leaflets, maps, presentations, newsletters, and infographics.
Assist in developing visuals, posts, and videos to communicate each project/event both online and offline.
Support in editing and retouching videos and photos for each project/event and for UN-Habitat’s social media platforms.
Maintain and archive all produced materials in the filing system.
Conduct research to stay up to date with the latest technology and trends in visual content creation to tell stories and connect with audiences across various platforms.
Maintain UN-Habitat’s guidelines throughout all developed communication material.
Perform other activities and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications/Special Skills
Must meet one of the following requirements:
Enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or higher)
Enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum Bachelor’s level)
Graduated with a Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD, or equivalent
Computer literate in standard software applications (Microsoft Office Suite).
Demonstrated interest in the work of the United Nations and commitment to the ideals of the Charter.
Ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs, demonstrating tolerance and understanding.
Preferred areas of study: Graphic Design, Advertising, or any related field.
No professional work experience required, but field of study must be closely related to the internship.
Must provide proof of enrollment or graduation as per the above criteria.
Languages
Fluency in oral and written English is required.
Knowledge of Arabic is desirable.
Knowledge of another UN language is desirable.
Additional Information
Interns are not financially remunerated; costs for travel, visas, accommodation, and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
Interns who are not citizens or permanent residents of the internship country may need the appropriate visa and work/employment authorization.
