This internship is designed to be hybrid (in Bonn) and part-time, but can be adjusted based on the request of the successful candidate.

Duties and Responsibilities
Support the work of the Human Resource Network and/or general data analytics-related work under the supervision of the Senior Inter-Agency Advisor on HR Management and IT/Data experts in the CEB Secretariat.
Contribute to the development of a custom HR analytics framework.
Support efforts in enhancing existing dashboards, analytical tools, and user interfaces developed by the CEB People Analytics & Insights function.
Develop reusable code and components for integration into other projects.
Transform data sources for analysis and visualization purposes; develop analytic algorithms and visualization layouts (graphs, trees, maps, charts, etc.).
Contribute to efforts to enhance data quality.
Review, validate, and compare historical data, including HR and financial data, to ensure accuracy and consistency; identify discrepancies and implement corrective measures.
Contribute to user experience (UX) design, interface optimization, and visual presentation of tools and dashboards, ensuring intuitive, user-friendly, and accessible solutions.
Support information collection, analysis, research, and benchmarking on Human Resources, Compensation, and Behavioral Science-related topics.
Coordinate and liaise with data-related counterparts in participating organizations to support timely data provision and quality improvement efforts.
Participate in preparing relevant documentation, including data models, standard operating procedures, and progress reports for the HR Network.
Undertake other duties as may be required, aligned with the candidate’s background, strengths, and areas of interest.
Qualifications/Special Skills
Enrolled in or completed a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent) or final year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
Applicants from a wide range of academic backgrounds are encouraged, particularly:
Data science, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or related technical fields with a focus on data.
UX/UI design, human-centered design, information design, web design, or digital media.
Social and Behavioral sciences (psychology, economics, sociology) with a quantitative focus.
Proficiency in data manipulation, analysis, and visualization tools such as R, Power BI, or SQL.
Understanding of statistics and data modeling using R, Tableau, MATLAB, or similar tools.
Knowledge of UX/UI principles, interface and website design, and related tools.
Ability to present complex data and concepts clearly and accessibly (data storytelling).
Applicants must be students in the final year of a first university degree, Master’s, or Ph.D. Programme, or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. Programme.
Languages
Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage.
UN official languages include Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, and Spanish.
