Assist in the development and dissemination of communication materials, including press releases, newsletters, social media content, website updates, infographics, and advocacy products.
Contribute to the documentation of human rights programmes, workshops, and events, including preparing reports, summaries, and multimedia records.
Support digital media campaigns to promote human rights awareness and visibility of the Centre’s work.
Assist in managing and organizing digital content, including photo and video libraries, ensuring proper archiving of communication materials.
Undertake desk research and contribute ideas to strengthen communication strategies and innovative outreach.
Support live coverage of events through photography, videography, and social media updates.
Draft and edit content for social media and web platforms, ensuring consistency with UN standards and messaging.
Assist in monitoring media and digital platforms to identify trends relevant to the Centre’s human rights advocacy.
Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications/Special Skills
Enrolled in, or recently completed, a graduate school programme (Master’s degree, Ph.D., or equivalent); OR
Enrolled in, or recently completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent).
Preferred fields of study: Communication, Journalism, Public Information, International Relations, Political Science, Human Rights, or related disciplines.
Previous experience in communication, documentation, journalism, or digital media is desirable.
Demonstrated skills in writing, editing, and multimedia content creation are an asset.
Knowledge of human rights issues is desirable.
Languages
Fluency in English or French (both oral and written) is required.
Knowledge of the other UN working language (English or French) is highly desirable.
