Duties and Responsibilities
Support the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), which is responsible for:
Strengthening international human rights mechanisms.
Enhancing equality and countering discrimination.
Combating impunity and strengthening accountability and the rule of law.
Integrating human rights in development and the economic sphere.
Widening the democratic space.
Early warning and protection of human rights in situations of conflict, violence, and insecurity.
Participate in internship assignments with the Rule of Law and Democracy Section (ROLDS) within the Rule of Law, Equality, and Non-Discrimination Branch (ROLENDB).

Academic Qualifications
Must be enrolled in or have completed a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or

Experience
No prior working experience is required.
Training, education, advanced coursework, or skills should contribute to the United Nations during the internship.
Language
Fluency in English or French is required.
Knowledge of the other is an asset.
Knowledge of another UN official language (Arabic, Chinese, Russian, or Spanish) is advantageous.
