Support the Rights of Older Persons Section within the Development and Economic and Social Issues Branch (DESIB), Thematic Engagement, Special Procedures and Right to Development Division (TESPRDD) of OHCHR.
Report to a Senior Human Rights Officer.
Assist in drafting reports, preparing newsletters, creating social media content, establishing partnerships, and undertaking advocacy.
Conduct research and analysis on assigned topics.
Prepare for and service meetings, seminars, and workshops, including compiling background materials, drafting presentations, meeting notes, and summaries, and inviting speakers and participants.
Support the conceptualization and writing of projects and initiatives.
Draft funding proposals.
Support the design and organization of capacity-building trainings and workshops.
Draft human rights briefs, infographics, and other written materials.
Qualifications/Special Skills
Background in legal studies, journalism, social media, or web page development.
Languages
Fluency in official UN languages is desirable.

Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations.
Costs for travel, visas, accommodation, and living expenses are the responsibility of the intern or sponsoring institution.
