Job Description

Chemonics International is seeking an Operations Associate for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Regional Business Unit (RBU). The MENA RBU portfolio includes current projects in Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia, and Libya; new business in the West Bank, Egypt, Yemen, and Morocco; and covers a wide variety of technical sectors including economic growth, water and energy, democracy and governance, and peace, education, stability, and transition. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

Responsibilities:
• Assists in responding appropriately and quickly to requests for support from internal and external clients; follows established policies, processes, and procedures
• Follows up on assigned operations tasks within established processes and procedures
• Organizes meetings and drafts meeting agendas
• Prepares correspondence for immediate supervisor for review and signature
• Organizes and maintains executive files and oversees BU filing systems
• Backstops operations team on their overseas assignments
• Assists with archiving, audits, and management of closed project(s)
• Assists proposal teams in specific line roles, including past performance writer, corporate capabilities writer, or other roles as appropriate under supervision
• Tracks all staff travel, leave schedules, and contact information
• Prepares and distributes BU calendar of activities, deadlines, and staff vacation and travel
• Coordinates with office services and IT support on facility, equipment, and supply needs
• Prepares/files personnel forms, purchase orders, travel authorizations, and other standard forms
• Assists with calendar management/scheduling and meeting preparations for executive management
• Helps prepare presentation materials, documents, and other printed materials
• Performs other duties as required

Qualifications:
• Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Experience with data entry, filing, cataloguing, retrieving, and preserving records preferred
• Communicates clearly and concisely in verbal and/or written communications
• Demonstrated experience multitasking with attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
• Demonstrated experience following standard practices and procedures, receiving general instruction and supervision, and contributing to projects and initiatives, whether in an academic or professional setting
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Works independently and as part of a team
• Demonstrated resourcefulness in problem-solving and initiative to learn new skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Willingness to travel up to 8 weeks per year
• Demonstrated leadership, versatility and integrity

The Hourly Pay Range for this position is: $21.96 - $27.46.

An employee’s pay position will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs.
