Duties and Responsibilities
Support the Innovation and Partnership Section, Research and Analysis Branch (RAB), Division for Public Affairs (DPA), UNODC, Vienna.
Work under the direct supervision of the research coordinator of the TiPSoM Team.
Contribute to the conceptualization of a database designed to track indicators on trafficking in persons.
Contribute to the production of country profiles for the global report on trafficking in persons.
Proactively source data for the Global Report through online incident research and liaison with national partners.
Enter identified and formatted data into the database.
Perform a pilot analysis of the data.
Qualifications/Special Skills
Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:
Be enrolled in, or have recently completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher).
Be enrolled in, or have recently completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
Applicants must be a student in the final year of a first university degree, Master’s or Ph.D. programme, or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. programme.
Good knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Teams.
Ability to draft news articles and/or social media posts is desirable.
Ability to design surveys and polls is desirable.
Applicants are responsible for travel, visa, accommodation, health insurance, and living expenses during the internship.
Previous UN internship experience should be indicated, including UN entity and dates.
Languages
Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage.
Working languages of the UN Secretariat: Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, Spanish.

Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation, and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
