Operate as part of the Global Programme on Crimes that Affect the Environment (GPCAE) in the UNODC Regional Office for West and Central Africa (ROSEN), under the guidance of the Regional Coordinator of GPCAE.
Assist in drafting posts for the Global Programme.
Support the organization of events and activities.
Help create a calendar of events for at least three months.
Support implementation of the GP workplan in West and Central Africa.
Assist in the preparation of various activities under the GP framework.
Answer questions about the Global Programme.
Schedule events and activities.
Create content for posts on the network.
Research and invite guest speakers.
Research workshop topics and support the design of workshops.
Note: Internship is unpaid.
Qualifications/Special Skills
Must meet one of the following:
Be enrolled in, or have recently completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher).
Be enrolled in, or have recently completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
Official written proof from the university supporting eligibility must be attached to the application.
No prior professional work experience is required.
Field of study should be closely related to the internship type.
Good knowledge of standard software applications, especially MS Word and MS PowerPoint.
Languages
Fluency in spoken and written French is required.
Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an advantage.
Official UN languages: Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, Spanish.
