The EIB, the European Union’s bank, is seeking to recruit for its Global Directorate (GLO) - Corporate Finance and Global Activities Department (CFGA) - Advisory Services Division (ADV) at its headquarters in Luxembourg: TRAINEE

Duration: 5 months (fixed start date: 1st April 2026)

(With possible extension up to 6 months if required by University)

Objective of the traineeship

You will help establish and deliver against the implementation and monitoring plans for the EIB Group Advisory Strategic Orientations and the EIB Global Advisory Services Work Plan, as regards the Bank’s advisory activities outside the EU. You will gain understanding of the Bank’s organisational structures and change management processes, as well as insights into the delivery of advisory services outside the EU.

Responsibilities

  • Develop implementation and monitoring plans for EIB Global advisory strategic matters.
  • Participate in inter-Directorate coordination of Group-wide advisory change processes.
  • Contribute to key deliverables as regards advisory procedures and manuals.
  • Contribute to development of standardised documentation for advisory products.
  • Contribute to development of data processing and key institutional performance measures for advisory activity.

Academic qualifications and professional skills

  • Final year of studies or University degree in Business Administration or another relevant field.
  • Strong analytical abilities.
  • Capacity to convert broad range of source materials into concise action focussed proposals.
  • Excellent knowledge of standard Microsoft Office tools (in particular Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English. Knowledge of French and/or other EU language would be an advantage.
