The EIB, the European Union’s bank, is seeking to recruit for Projects Directorate (PJ) - Sustainability & Quality Management Department (SQM) - Coordination, Accountability & Procedures Division (CARES) at its headquarters in Luxembourg: TRAINEE

Duration: 5 months (fixed start date: 1st March/April 2026)

(With possible extension up to 6 months if required by University)

Objective of the traineeship

The EIB Projects Directorate has launched a programme to review its existing process and procedures documentation, related governance structures as well as IT solutions. You are expected to support the Coordination, Accountability and Procedures Division of the Sustainability and Quality Management Department in all planning, development and coordination activities related to this programme.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Lead Expert in Quality Management, your main tasks will be:

  • Data and information gathering and analysis, from within the Projects Directorate and from counterparts in other EIB Directorates.
  • Support to the documentation of existing processes/creation of flowcharts in MS Visio.
  • Support to the update of diverse procedures and tools (SharePoint).
  • Organisation and preparation of related meetings and presentations, follow-up on action points.

Academic qualifications and professional skills

  • Final year of studies or university degree in economics, business studies, engineering, computer sciences or related studies, which led to knowledge in the broader field of Quality Management (incl. process management, QM tools, change management techniques, information and knowledge management).
  • Excellent knowledge of SharePoint would be a clear advantage.
  • Experience in drafting procedural documentation would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Business Process Modeling and Notation would be an advantage.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office software, in particular Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio.
  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English.
