Conduct research and policy analysis on trade and international development issues in ITC priority areas, with a focus on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Monitor and report on intergovernmental meetings related to trade, entrepreneurship, green and resilient recovery, women’s economic empowerment, and other ITC-relevant topics.
Support ITC’s engagement with Permanent Missions by analyzing country information and identifying development programme activities aligned with ITC strategic priorities.
Draft and contribute to talking points, meeting notes, reports, and other written materials related to ITC’s priority areas.
Provide administrative and communications support to the ITC Office to the United Nations.
Assist with the planning, coordination, and implementation of events.
Perform additional tasks as required to support the work of the Office.

Qualifications/Special Skills
Applicants must meet one of the following at the time of application:
Enrolled in the final academic year of the first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent), or
Enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher), or
Graduated with a university degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s equivalent) and, if selected, must commence the internship within one year of graduation.
Desirable Skills:
Computer literate and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
Good communication skills, particularly in writing.
Knowledge of and interest in the United Nations development system.
Languages
Good working knowledge of English.
Knowledge of other UN languages is a bonus.

Interns are not financially remunerated by the United Nations.
Costs and arrangements for travel, visas, accommodation, and living expenses are the responsibility of interns or their sponsoring institutions.
Interns who are not citizens or permanent residents of the country where the internship is undertaken may be required to obtain the appropriate visa and work/employment authorization.
