Job Description

Work Location

  • Home based, preferably in APAC

Expected Duration

  • 6 Months

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the APAC Regional Team and APAC Nature Team in administrative-related matters.
  • Conduct extensive research and support regional capacity-building activities.
  • Programme Support: Assist with programme tasks, including scheduling meetings, taking minutes, and organizing documents to ensure smooth operational flow.
  • Desk Research: Conduct research on financial markets and data analysis to inform strategic decision-making processes.
  • Capacity Building Assistance: Support the implementation of capacity-building initiatives, training programmes, and resource allocation to enhance team performance.
  • Other Work Support: Provide assistance to APAC Regional Team and APAC Nature Team members across different functions and tasks.

Qualifications/Special Skills

  • Meet one of the following criteria at the time of application:
    • Enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or higher).
    • Enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (minimum Bachelor’s level).
    • Have graduated with a university degree and commence the internship within one year of graduation.
  • Academic background in environmental or nature & biodiversity studies with strong research skills.
  • Proof of enrollment or graduation date must be provided if selected.
  • Professional work experience is not required, but a field of study closely related to the internship is required.

Languages

  • Fluency in oral and written English is required.
  • Knowledge of another UN official language is desirable.

    • Cover Note must include: degree title, graduation date, IT skills, explanation of suitability for the internship, and interest in the UN Internship Programme.
    • Proof of enrollment from current university (if not graduated).
    • Copy of degree certificate (if already graduated).
