Throughout February, escalating tensions between Russia and Ukraine led to an understandable dip in globaldev job opportunities in the region. But in recent weeks, we’ve seen an uptick in activity on our job board for positions that can help those affected by the invasion.
In this edition of Career Hub, learn what roles are currently in demand in our sector’s widespread response to the conflict. I’m also sharing career advice from an emergency responder who is now involved in Ukrainian aid efforts. Plus, explore job opportunities at WaterAid, CARE USA, and more.

Regarding CV formatting, what font should be used and what font size is preferable?
Personally, I have a preference for the sans-serif fonts, because these are generally easier on the eyes. I'm not a fan of fonts like Times New Roman, because I find them harder to read through. Calibri is a fine choice, and Tahoma and Garamond are also good options.
In terms of size, I think 11 is fine, as long as there's sufficient space. I think the most important thing is that you leave enough space for the dates of employment, so the reader is able to see right away where this kind of key information is. This also allows for another formatting choice that I like, which is to place the location next to the organization, which makes things clear and clean for the recruiter.
