Summary

Haider is an experienced development expert with over 20 years of experience in the areas of monitoring and evaluation, project implementation, humanitarian assistance, relief and rehabilitation, governance and, community participation. Additionally, he has served as Team Leader providing third party M&E and Research for FCDO as well as assistance in emergency assistance, livelihood programs including vocational trainings and worked on the post crises needs assessment. He has worked in programs aimed at improving children’s lives and reduce household poverty in seven African countries through a livelihoods/economic component focused on improving youth and women’s entrepreneurial and vocational skills and resources. Haider has worked on large and complex programs in fragile and hostile countries including Pakistan, Afghanistan, Mali, Burkina Farso, and Ghana. In Thailand, he was involved in organizational restructuring of the Mekong River Commission Secretariat, a development organization belonging to Thailand, Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. His work spans across different sectors of multi/bilateral donor, governments, and international civil society organizations. He holds a Master’s degree in Development Economics from England and a Bachelors degree in Economics from the United States. Haider is fluent in English, Pashtu and Urdu.
